SwiftKey now a Microsoft-owned company is continually improving the smart keyboard App for Android to give smart suggestions to users. As of now, it has not been added to any devices as a default keyboard android app, but as Microsoft owns it now, we may get to see the SwiftKey App in Microsoft and Nokia devices pre-loaded in future. You can find many similar apps on the Play Store, but this one emerges as one of the best among others.
Recently it had a vulnerability issue in the SwiftKey smart keyboard app for Android. Users were getting unknown predictions and email ids of other users posing a threat to users by revealing their personal information such as e-mail IDs. Many VIP users complained about the VIP community support forums to which SwiftKey has no idea about it. Later it admitted by saying it doesn’t pose any security threat and also said it only affects a subtle number of users opposing its statement!
Now as per the reports, it is going to be fixed in its next upcoming version 6.3.9.79, which will re-enable sync that was earlier temporarily disabled by the company manually. The new version should fix the issue, and sync users account automatically, allowing users to add new words to the app dictionary and get personalized predictions. The latest version I see on the Google Play Store is 6.3.8.82, which was released on 4th of August. We expect the new version 6.3.9.79 to roll out soon. Keep looking and let us know when you get the update. We will keep you updated on the same soon.
Meanwhile, if you want to try out few similar apps which would do the same as this app, then try them out. They are “GO Keyboard – Emoji, Sticker”, “Ginger Keyboard – Emoji, GIFs”, “Fleksy + GIF Keyboard”, “Flash Keyboard” and “TouchPal Keyboard” seem better than many others available at the Play Store. I have mentioned these based on my preferences, starting from GO Keyboard. Let us know which one you find the best according to you, and I will tweet your opinions about that app on Twitter.
